You Are My Sunshine

Tonight. 5-6-07, I just watched the TV series 7TH HEAVEN which spoke to a problem I frequently view in the office. Rev. Cramdon gave a sermon on the song, YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE which he stated had sad lyrics because instead of enjoying the love of ones life, one was mourning losing it. The verse is: “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You never know dear how much I miss you. Please don’t take my sunshine away. He continued that he had clutched at the happiness and did not want anything to change until he became miserable. He realized that he must LET GO AND LET GOD. By that he meant experience life and enjoy it as it happens without trying to control it.

We need more TV shows that guide people, yet next week will be the last chapter. The public has already a deficiency in sit-coms that have moral standards. Our children are watching garbage that is creating a breakdown in society. Just look at the frequency of mass killings in a our educational institutions. When will the mature population stop purchasing items publicized by those programs and write the producers that we have had enough?

During the last thirty years the severity of family problems is increasing. Thank God, that people are seeking help. However, it should not come to this when even grade school children are misdirected. Right now, parents need to view what their children are watching. If you deem it smut or violent, (even cartoons have too much today) or too sexy (this is repulsive to me to see 4 and 5 year olds mimicking adult sexual bodily moves.) then block those shows and write the producers. Hitting them in the pocket book, will quickly reverse the adverse pattern in which we are heading.

Let us take control only to change what is negative and appreciate all that is positive in our lives.
